Description
Lebanese Chicken in Pita
Ingredients
- Olive Oil - 1 tablespoon
- Skin-On Chicken Breasts - 3 pieces
- Pide bread - 4 pieces
- Hummus - 5 oz
- Garlic - 3 cloves
- Natural Yogurt - 5 oz
- Chopped Sage Leaves - 4 tablespoons
- Banana Leaves - 10 pieces
- Tomatoes - 3 pieces
- Spanish onions - 1 head
- Beet chips - 5 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Place the chicken breasts between 2 pieces of plastic wrap and pound them.
Step 2
Preheat the grill and lightly grease it with oil. Grill the chicken for 4 minutes on each side until cooked through. Remove from heat, let cool slightly, and slice into thin strips. Lay the pitas on a board and spread hummus and beet sauce on them, leaving 3 cm clean around the edges. Top with chicken and drizzle with yogurt mixed with minced garlic.
Step 3
Then sprinkle with parsley, add sliced lettuce leaves, sliced onion, and diced tomatoes. Roll up, tucking in the ends. Wrap in thin foil and place on the grill, toasting for 1-2 minutes on each side until the bread is crispy. Unwrap the foil and cut each pita in half diagonally. Serve hot.
