Ingredients
- Water - 2 qt
- Lemon - 2 pieces
- Ground Cinnamon - to taste
- Grated Ginger Root - 1.1 oz
- Sugar - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Slice the lemons into thin rounds.
Step 2
Peel the ginger and grate it finely.
Step 3
Place the lemons and ginger in any glass container that won't crack from boiling water (I use a two-liter jar made of thick glass).
Step 4
Add sugar and cinnamon to taste, then pour boiling water over everything.
Step 5
Stir a little to help the sugar dissolve faster (a wooden spoon works best), cover with a lid, and let it steep for 2–3 hours.
Step 6
Strain and serve chilled.
