Ingredients
- Green Peas - 7.1 oz
- Onion - 1 head
- Garlic - 1 clove
- Fresh Mint - 2 sprigs
- Cilantro - 5 sprigs
- Butter - 2 teaspoons
- Milk - 7 fl oz
- Olive Oil - 2 tablespoons
- Sugar - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Heat a skillet and drizzle it with olive oil. Add the chopped onion and garlic, sauté until golden brown. Sprinkle with salt and black pepper, then add the green peas, a bit of freshly chopped mint, cilantro, and sugar, and sauté, stirring, for one minute.
Step 2
Bring the milk to a boil and let it cool. Remove the skillet from the heat, allow the mixture to cool, and place it in a blender along with the milk and sugar. Blend until smooth and strain through a sieve.
Step 3
Place the mixture in a pot and, stirring, bring to a boil, then drizzle with cream and butter. Add some chopped mint and cilantro to the bowl. Serve hot.
