Ingredients

  • Salad Potatoes - 7 pieces
  • Onion - 1 piece
  • Garlic - 1 clove
  • Passata Tomato Sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Butter - 1.1 oz
  • Wheat Flour - 1 tablespoon
  • Fresh basil leaves - to taste
  • Bay leaf - 1 piece
  • Salt - to taste
  • White Beans - 2 cups
  • Mild Chili Spice - 1 piece

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Soak the beans in 4 cups of cold water for 3–4 hours. Do not drain the water. Transfer the beans to a pot, bring to a boil, and cook over medium heat until partially cooked. Mash the beans with a potato masher.

Step 2

Dice the potatoes into small cubes and add them to the pot. Continue cooking.

Step 3

Finely chop the onion and sauté it in butter, add the minced garlic, flour, and stir constantly to avoid lumps, then add the tomato paste to the pan, mix again, and combine the sauté with the beans.

Step 4

Add the bay leaf, chili pepper, and salt to the pot. Crush the dried basil in your hands and add it to the soup. Cook for another 10–15 minutes. Turn off the heat and let the soup steep for 30 minutes.
