Description

Mămăligă, a thick cornmeal porridge, serves as bread, a side dish, and a main course. In Moldova, mămăligă is enjoyed with feta cheese, but it can also be crumbled into milk, dipped in sauce, soaked up salad juices, or drizzled with sweetened condensed milk. There are countless ways to enjoy it, and even the most inexperienced cooks can master its preparation.

  • Coarse Cornmeal - 5 oz
  • Water - 20 fl oz
  • Salt - 1 tablespoon
  • Butter - 0 oz
  • Feta cheese - 5 oz
