Ingredients
- Herring - 7.1 oz
- Beetroot - 7.1 oz
- Unrefined Sunflower Oil - 3 fl oz
- Honey - 1.8 oz
- Balsamic Vinegar - 0 fl oz
- Scallions - to taste
- Soy Sauce - 1 fl oz
- Ground coriander - 0 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Prepare all the ingredients. Preheat the oven to 356°F.
Step 2
Fillet the herring.
Step 3
Mix the soy sauce, honey, balsamic vinegar, sunflower oil, and coriander.
Step 4
Place the herring fillets in the marinade and let sit for 2 hours.
Step 5
Thoroughly wash the beetroot, wrap it in foil, and place it in the oven for 40–60 minutes. Allow the cooked beetroot to cool.
Step 6
Slice the beetroot into thin rings.
Step 7
Cut the marinated herring into slices.
Step 8
Arrange the beetroot rings on a plate.
Step 9
Top the beetroot with the herring slices.
Step 10
Serve, garnished with finely chopped green onion.
