Marinated wild garlic in Japanese-Korean spices
Ingredients
- Wild Garlic Greens - 15.9 oz
- Sugar - ¾ cup
- Rice Vinegar for Sushi - ¾ cup
- Water - ¾ cup
- Coarse Salt - 1 tablespoon
- Chinese Five Spice - 1 tablespoon
- Ground Korean Red Pepper - 1½ teaspoons
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Rinse the wild garlic well and place it in a glass dish or jar.
Step 2
In a saucepan, combine sugar, vinegar, water, salt, spice mix, and red pepper. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring until the sugar and salt dissolve. Remove from heat and pour over the wild garlic.
Step 3
Allow to cool, cover, and leave in the refrigerator overnight.
