Ingredients
- Lean Beef - 31.7 oz
- Cake crumbs - 7.1 oz
- Pistachios - 3.4 oz
- Onion - 4.2 oz
- Garlic - 3 cloves
- Chopped Sage Leaves - 0.7 oz
- Chicken Egg - 1 piece
- Brandy - ¼ cup
- 33% Cream - 1 fl oz
- Salt - 1½ teaspoons
- Ground Black Pepper - 1 teaspoon
- Ground Caraway - 1 teaspoon
- French Baguette - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 356°F. In a large bowl, mix the ground beef, breadcrumbs, pistachios, finely chopped onion, minced garlic, parsley, egg, brandy, cream, salt, pepper, and caraway seeds. Mix gently but thoroughly.
Step 2
Grease a loaf pan with oil and place the prepared meat mixture inside. Press down lightly and cover with foil. Place in a deep baking tray and fill with hot water halfway up the sides of the loaf pan. Bake for 1.5 hours.
Step 3
Let cool, carefully remove from the pan, and wrap in foil. Refrigerate overnight.
Step 4
Trim the sides of the pâté and place it on a serving plate. Slice into thin pieces and serve with thinly sliced baguette.
