Description
Serve with whatever you love to drink hot chocolate with: whipped cream, mint leaves, dark chocolate shavings, Marshmallow Fluff, large/small/torch-burned marshmallows, Maltesers or similar 'Airy' balls.
Ingredients
- Milk - 8 fl oz
- Cocoa Powder - 2 teaspoons
- Sugar - 1 teaspoon
- Bittersweet Chocolate - 1.8 oz
- Fresh Mint - 5 stems
- Whipped Cream - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
In a small saucepan, bring the milk to a boil, then immerse the torn mint leaves in it. Remove the saucepan from the heat, cover it, and let it steep for 1 hour. Afterward, strain the milk through a sieve and, before discarding the mint, squeeze it well to extract as much aroma and essential oils as possible.
Step 2
Return the strained milk to the saucepan, place it back on the heat, add the cocoa powder and sugar, and cook for 1-2 minutes until ready. Remove from heat, add the bittersweet chocolate, let the mixture sit for a minute, then stir until smooth and whisk the drink a little for a hint of froth.
