Ingredients
- Tilapia - 10.6 oz
- Chicken Broth - 25 fl oz
- Grated Ginger Root - 0.5 oz
- Garlic - 1 clove
- Mild Chili Spice - 1 piece
- Napa Cabbage - 7.1 oz
- Carrot - 1 piece
- Miso Paste - 2 spoons
- Soy Sauce - 2 spoons
- Scallions - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Prepare all the ingredients.
Step 2
Cut the tilapia fillet into cubes.
Step 3
Mince the garlic. Peel the ginger and cut it into thin strips.
Step 4
Cut the chili peppers and carrots into thin strips; you can use a Korean grater for the carrots.
Step 5
Shred the napa cabbage.
Step 6
Bring the chicken broth to a boil. Add the ginger, garlic, and chili pepper. Cook for 5 minutes.
Step 7
Add the cabbage and carrot and cook for another 2 minutes.
Step 8
Dissolve the miso paste in soy sauce and add it to the broth. Stir well. Taste and mix in a little more miso paste if you prefer a richer flavor.
Step 9
Add pieces of fish to the soup and cook for another 2 minutes.
Step 10
Serve the miso soup with tilapia, garnished with sliced green onions.
