Description
For making these sandwiches, white sandwich bread is the best choice. It is pliable—allowing you to seal the edges so the cheese doesn’t spill out while frying. For two servings, you will need 6 slices of this bread.
Ingredients
- White bread - 8.8 oz
- Milk - 4 fl oz
- Wheat Flour - 2 spoons
- Melted Cheese - 1 head
- Salt - to taste
- Chicken Egg - 1 piece
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
- Olive Oil - 1 fl oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Slice the mozzarella into strips about 0.5 centimeters thick. Trim the crusts off the bread. Make closed sandwiches by placing cheese between two slices of bread and pressing the edges together with your fingers. You should end up with three sandwiches.
Step 2
Prepare three plates: one with milk, another with flour, and the third with an egg beaten with salt and pepper.
Step 3
Heat olive oil in a skillet. Dip each sandwich in milk, then coat it in flour and egg. Fry until golden brown on both sides and serve, cutting each sandwich in half.
