Description

Can be used as an independent product or as a semi-finished product for making various dishes. It is also used for medicinal purposes (expectorant and cough remedy, for cardiovascular diseases, anemia). Grape syrup can also be prepared in the same way.

Ingredients

  • Water - 15 fl oz
  • White Mulberries - 20 lbs

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Cook the mulberries on very low heat for 1 hour after boiling.

Step 2

Strain everything under pressure. Pour the juice into a wide container and reduce it over low heat for several hours (sometimes up to a day), constantly skimming off the foam. If the foam stops appearing and the juice darkens significantly, the syrup is ready. The syrup can be reduced to a thin or thick thread.
