Ingredients
- Mung Beans - 1 cup
- Tomatoes - 4 pieces
- Salad Potatoes - 2 pieces
- Red Long Chili Peppers - ½ teaspoon
- Basil - 1 teaspoon
- Thyme - 1 teaspoon
- Garlic - 3 cloves
- Celery salt - 1 stalk
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Rinse and sort the mung beans. Cook them in salted water with a bay leaf and dried celery.
Step 2
After 20 minutes, add diced potatoes.
Step 3
Peel the tomatoes and cut them into large cubes. Heat oil in a pan, lightly sauté the tomatoes with pepper, basil, and thyme, then add garlic.
Step 4
When the potatoes and mung beans are almost ready (mung beans cook for about 40 minutes), add the tomato mixture to them. Bring the soup to a boil, remove from heat, and let it steep for 20 minutes.
