Rinse the dried mushrooms in warm water, place them in a pot, add a peeled onion cut in half, cover with cold water, and simmer gently for 2 to 2.5 hours. To speed up the cooking process, you can soak the mushrooms in cold water for 1 to 2 hours before cooking them in that same water.
Step 2
Strain the finished broth, rinse the mushrooms in cold water, finely chop them, and add to the soup made from the mushroom broth.
