Description
Mussels with Saffron and Chorizo
Ingredients
- Dry White Wine - ⅓ cup
- Olive Oil - to taste
- Parsley - 1 bunch
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
- Cream 22% - 7 fl oz
- Ocean salt - to taste
- Garlic - 3 cloves
- Saffron - to taste
- French Baguette - 1 piece
- Chorizo - 2.8 oz
- Pasta shells - 28.2 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Finely chop the garlic. Trim the stems from the parsley and chop it. Cut the chorizo into large pieces. You can use any spicy cured sausage instead of chorizo.
Step 2
Clean the mussels from seaweed.
Step 3
Take a large deep frying pan or pot suitable for frying. Heat the olive oil in it, then add the garlic and parsley.
Step 4
Next, add the chorizo, and after a couple of minutes, when the aroma is intense, add the mussels.
Step 5
Immediately pour in the white wine and let it evaporate.
Step 6
Then cover with a lid so the mussels heat up and open.
Step 7
After that, add the cream and saffron, bring to a boil, and keep on heat for another 3 minutes.
Step 8
Serve in a deep dish and sprinkle with more parsley. Warm the baguette and enjoy from a deep plate, dipping the baguette in the sauce.
