New Year's punch with gin, Chartreuse, and pine needles
Ingredients
- Rice Sweet Wine - 17 fl oz
- Chartreuse Liqueur - 4 fl oz
- Dry Champagne - 12 fl oz
- Spruce needles - 1 teaspoon
- Meyer Lemon Juice - 1 fl oz
- Gin - 3 fl oz
- Ice - 8.8 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Finely chop fresh pine or spruce needles in a mortar, pour gin over them, and let steep for 30-40 minutes.
Step 2
In a large pitcher or punch bowl, mix champagne, wine, gin with the needles, and lemon juice. Add Chartreuse or any other green herbal liqueur (sweet infusion) and ice cubes.
Step 3
Serve chilled to at least +59°F, pouring into wide glasses.
