Description

A great appetizer for the New Year's table. Serve sliced and arranged on a plate, or cut into small pieces and skewer on toothpicks.

Ingredients

  • Chicken Egg - 3 pieces
  • Wheat Flour - 6 oz
  • Sweet Potato - 7.1 oz
  • Fresh basil leaves - 3.5 oz
  • Milk - ½ cup
  • Olive Oil - ½ cup
  • Emmental cheese - 3.2 oz
  • Salt - to taste
  • Ground coriander - 1 teaspoon
  • Baking Powder - 2 teaspoons

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 356°F.

Step 2

Peel the sweet potato and grate it using a coarse grater.

Step 3

Finely chop the spinach leaves.

Step 4

Grate the cheese using the same grater.

Step 5

In a large bowl, mix the eggs and flour until smooth.

Step 6

Then add the olive oil to the batter, followed by the milk.

Step 7

Stir in the sweet potato and spinach, then add the cheese. Mix well.

Step 8

Add a little salt, coriander, and baking powder.

Step 9

Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan and bake until done, about 50 minutes.

Step 10

Cool in the pan and remove. Slice and serve.
