  • Ground Black Pepper - a pinch
  • Water - 5 fl oz

Step 1

Peel the onion, slice it into rings, and separate them into individual rings.

In a bowl, combine the flour, salt, and ground black pepper, then gradually add boiled water until the batter reaches a consistency similar to pancake batter. Let the batter rest for 10 minutes.

Mix the breadcrumbs and sesame seeds in a separate bowl.

Step 4

Dip the onion rings into the batter, ensuring they are coated on all sides.

Step 5

Immediately coat them in the breadcrumb mixture. The coating should cover the rings on all sides. This process is convenient to do with two forks or chopsticks.

Fry the onion rings in small batches in a large amount of hot refined sunflower oil over medium heat, turning them until golden brown.
