Ingredients
- Butter - 5.3 oz
- Sugar - 0.5 oz
- Salt - a pinch
- Chicken Egg - 1 piece
- Meyer Lemon Juice - 0 fl oz
- Tomatoes - 2 pieces
- Activated Baking Soda - a knife tip
- Thyme - 3 sprigs
- Brown Sugar - 0.4 oz
- Olive Oil - 0 fl oz
- Wheat Flour - 7.1 oz
- Hard Cheese - 1.4 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Cut the softened butter into pieces and add it to the flour, then add the egg, sugar, salt, and baking soda mixed with lemon juice, and mix thoroughly.
Step 2
Knead the dough, roll it into a ball, and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
Step 3
When the dough is ready, roll it out to a thickness of 1–1.5 cm. Take a fluted round mold and spread the dough across the bottom and sides. Place it in an oven preheated to 392°F and bake until golden brown for about 10 minutes.
Step 4
Once the pie base is golden, remove it and let it cool. Arrange the sliced tomatoes (large) in an overlapping pattern on the baked dough.
Step 5
Mix the thyme leaves with brown sugar and sprinkle over the tomatoes. Drizzle with olive oil and return to the oven at 392°F.
Step 6
Bake until the tomatoes are browned. When the pie is ready, remove it and immediately sprinkle with grated cheese.
