Oregano Compote
Ingredients
- Meyer Lemon Juice - 3 fl oz
- Water - 3 qt
- Sugar - 5.3 oz
- Basil - 17.6 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
In a pot with water, add the oregano (red basil). Bring to a boil, then let it simmer on low heat for one and a half hours.
Step 2
Then add the lemon juice, which immediately changes the color of our future compote. Add sugar to taste, stir, and let it cook for another 30 minutes.
Step 3
Strain the mixture. Allow the compote to cool and place it in the refrigerator. Serve very chilled with a few leaves of oregano.
