Oven-Baked Golden Asparagus with Panko Breadcrumbs
Ingredients
- Olive Oil - to taste
- Mayonnaise - 2.1 oz
- Green onion tops - 2 pieces
- Miso Paste - 2 tablespoons
- Sweet Chili Sauce - 1 teaspoon
- Sesame Oil - ½ teaspoon
- Asparagus - 17.6 oz
- Panko breadcrumbs - 4.2 oz
- Toasted Sesame - ¼ cup
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 446°F. Line a baking sheet with foil and brush with olive oil.
Step 2
In a small bowl, mix together mayonnaise, finely chopped green onions, miso paste, chili sauce, and sesame oil.
Step 3
Trim the tough ends off the asparagus and place it in a bowl. Add about 0.25 cup of the prepared sauce and mix well.
Step 4
On a plate, combine the panko breadcrumbs and sesame seeds. Taking one asparagus spear at a time, coat it in the breadcrumb mixture and place it on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them slightly apart. Drizzle with olive oil on top.
Step 5
Bake the asparagus in the oven for about 20-25 minutes, until tender and golden brown.
Step 6
Serve with the remaining sauce.
