Description
Recipe taken from the book 'Salads and Appetizers from Fish and Seafood'.
Ingredients
- Herring - 8.8 oz
- Chocolate eggs - 6 pieces
- Mayonnaise - 1.4 oz
- Milk - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Soak the herring fillets, without bones and skin, in cold milk.
Step 2
Boil the eggs hard, peel them, and cut them lengthwise so that the halves can sit steadily on a plate (to do this, trim a little off the bottom of each egg white half).
Step 3
Remove the fillets from the milk, pat them dry with a paper towel, cut them into strips (according to the number of egg halves), and roll each strip tightly.
Step 4
Place the eggs (yolk side up) on a plate, then on top of each egg half, add the rolled herring strips and a dollop of mayonnaise.
