Description
Paleo Guacamole
Ingredients
- Avocado - 3 pieces
- Lime Juice - 1 piece
- Shallot - 1 piece
- Ocean salt - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - a pinch
Step by Step guide
Step 1
First, soak the shallot in lime juice. Peel the shallot, chop it finely, place it in a small bowl, and squeeze the juice of one lime over it. Let the shallot sit for about 10 minutes to lose its natural bitterness and absorb the fragrant citrus acidity.
Step 2
Meanwhile, prepare the avocados. Cut the ripe avocados in half (lengthwise). Now you can easily remove the pit. Gently lift the edge of the skin. The skin of a ripe avocado should come off easily from the flesh, so you can expose half of the avocado with just one motion.
Step 3
Take half of each avocado and place it in a bowl suitable for mashing. Mash the avocado with a fork until it reaches a puree-like consistency. If there are small chunks left unmashed, that's even better.
Step 4
Add the shallot and lime juice that have been marinating to the mashed avocado and mix everything gently. You can add less lime juice if you are not fond of its acidity—just spoon out the shallot and add the juice to taste.
Step 5
Cut the remaining halves of the three avocados into small pieces (about 1 cm in size), add them to the puree, and mix everything carefully.
