Ingredients
- Pea shoots - 17.6 oz
- Bacon - 5.3 oz
- Onion - 1 piece
- Carrot - 1 piece
- Smoked pork knuckle - 1 piece
- Bay leaf - 2 pieces
- Potato - 3 pieces
- Salt - to taste
- Spices - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Soak the peas in water for 1 hour.
Step 2
Melt 3 slices of bacon in the bottom of a pot.
Step 3
Add the chopped onion and sauté for 1–2 minutes.
Step 4
Then add the diced carrot and sauté for another 1–2 minutes.
Step 5
Next, add the ribs, peas, potatoes, and bay leaf to the pot.
Step 6
Pour in 2 liters of water, previously boiled in a kettle.
Step 7
Add salt and pepper, and let it cook until ready.
