Ingredients
- Pea shoots - 7.1 oz
- Smoked pork knuckle - 28.2 oz
- Onion - 7.1 oz
- Carrot - 7.1 oz
- Potato - 7.1 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Soak the peas for at least 4 hours.
Step 2
Boil the ribs for 2–2.5 hours until the meat easily separates, drain the water (specifically drain, do not cook the peas in it), cool the ribs, separate the meat, and cut it.
Step 3
Cook the peas until they are soft (by the way, I know a secret — you can skip soaking the peas, just add a tablespoon of cold water every 30 minutes while cooking).
Step 4
Make a sauté with the carrot and onion.
Step 5
Add the potato, sauté, bay leaf, allspice, and meat to the peas.
Step 6
Once the potato is cooked, the soup is ready.
