Description
Orange juice can be replaced with low-fat milk or rice milk, which is now commonly found in stores. It's best to use ripe peaches and apricots, as they will puree more easily. For a more interesting flavor, you can grill the peach halves in a grill pan for 2 minutes on each side, giving the smoothie a slightly smoky taste.
Ingredients
- Pitted Wild Apricots - 8 pieces
- Donut Peaches - 2 pieces
- Freshly squeezed orange juice - 16 fl oz
- Beans - 1 piece
- Lemon - 1 piece
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Squeeze the juice from the lemon.
Step 2
Juice the oranges for the base or use store-bought unsweetened juice with pulp.
Step 3
Peel the banana and break it into large pieces.
Step 4
Place the apricot halves, peach, banana, and pour in the orange juice and half of the freshly squeezed lemon juice into a blender.
Step 5
Blend all the ingredients at high speed.
Step 6
Check the balance of sweet and sour (depending on how sweet the apricots and peaches were), and if necessary, add juice from the other half of the lemon and blend again.
Step 7
Serve, garnished with a piece of melon, lime, lemon, pineapple, or peach. Any fruit that can be beautifully sliced to decorate the smoothie will work.
