- Pears - 2 lbs
- Sugar - 2 lbs
- Rosemary - 2 sprigs

Step 1
Prepare all the ingredients. It's best to use firm and not overly ripe pears for this jam.
Step 2
Wash the pears and slice them into 3–4 mm thick pieces, removing the stems and seeds.
Step 3
Transfer the pears to a pot, sprinkle them with sugar, and let them sit for 3 to 4 hours so that the pears release their juice. No water is needed.
Step 4
Remove the leaves from the rosemary sprigs and chop them finely.
Step 5
Place the pot with the pear over low heat and add rosemary.
Step 6
Once the sugar has dissolved and the mixture reaches a boil, continue to simmer over low heat for another 40 minutes.
Step 7
Stir occasionally. The pears in the finished jam should become semi-transparent.
Step 8
Sterilize the jars for the jam over steam for 15–20 minutes.
Step 9
Transfer the finished jam into hot jars and seal them.
Step 10
Store in a cool, dark place and serve with tea.
