Ingredients
- Vodka - 1 qt
- Bacon - 6 pieces
- Habanero Pepper - 3 pieces
- Serrano Chili - 2 pieces
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Place the strips of bacon in a dry, cool skillet. Heat the skillet over low heat.
Step 2
Cook the bacon until crispy, turning the strips occasionally.
Step 3
Lay the cooked bacon on paper towels and let it cool.
Step 4
Remove the stems from each chili pepper and cut them in half. Add the peppers (with seeds) to a large, airtight jar.
Step 5
After cooling, add the bacon to the same jar.
Step 6
Fill the jar with vodka to cover the bacon and peppers.
Step 7
Seal the jar and store it in the refrigerator for 7 days.
Step 8
After 7 days, strain the vodka through cheesecloth into a clean jar or bottle.
Step 9
You may strain it a second time.
