Description
Causa, a national Peruvian potato casserole. There are many different varieties, and we made ours with chicken.
Ingredients
- Avocado - 2 pieces
- Potato - 2 lbs
- Chicken fillet - 12.3 oz
- Mayonnaise - 2 spoons
- Mild Chili Spice - 1 piece
- Orange Bell Peppers - 1.1 oz
- Lime - 1 piece
- Parsley - 0.2 oz
- Salt - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
- Vegetable Oil - 1 fl oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Prepare the necessary ingredients.
Step 2
Boil the potatoes in their skins until tender. At the same time, cook the chicken in salted water.
Step 3
Remove the seeds from the pepper.
Step 4
Blend the chili and yellow pepper with vegetable oil, the juice of half a lime, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Strain through a sieve.
Step 5
Peel the potatoes, mash them into a puree, and mix with the pepper mixture.
Step 6
Let the cooked meat cool, then slice it and mix with mayonnaise.
Step 7
Slice the avocado.
Step 8
Drizzle them with the remaining lime juice, then season with salt and pepper.
Step 9
To assemble the individual serving, place a culinary ring on a plate, first add a layer of puree, then several slices of avocado, followed by another layer of puree, then a layer of chicken, and finish with a layer of puree.
Step 10
Garnish with a slice of avocado and parsley.
