Ingredients
- Beef - 14.1 oz
- Onion - ½ heads
- Fish Oil - 1½ spoons
- Star anise - 1 piece
- Cinnamon - 1 piece
- White Pepper (whole) - a pinch
- Rice Noodles - 10.6 oz
- Campbell's Beef Broth - 1½ l
- Scallions - 3 pieces
- Mint Leaves - 0.5 oz
- Sprouted legumes - 3.2 oz
- Spanish onions - 1 head
- Mild Chili Spice - 1 piece
- Lemon - 1 piece
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Place the meat in a plastic bag and put it in the freezer for 40 minutes.
Step 2
Meanwhile, place a whole onion, fish sauce, star anise, cinnamon, and pepper into a large pot. Pour in the broth and 500 ml of water. Bring to a boil, reduce the heat, cover with a lid, and simmer for 20 minutes. Remove the onion, star anise, and cinnamon stick.
Step 3
Place the rice noodles in boiling water, stir, and drain. Rinse with cold water.
Step 4
Take the meat out of the freezer and slice it very thinly across the grain.
Step 5
Divide the noodles and chopped green onions among 4 small bowls. Arrange the meat, mint, sprouts, sliced white onion, and chopped chili on top. Ladle very hot broth over the ingredients and serve with lemon wedges.
