Description
Pickle Soup with Chicken Broth and Rice
Ingredients
- Poultry - 10.6 oz
- Onion - 1 head
- Carrot - 1 piece
- Water - 4 qt
- Pickles - 8.8 oz
- Salt - 1½ teaspoons
- Bay leaf - 2 pieces
- Chicken Seasoning - to taste
- Dill - 1 bunch
- Garlic - 2 cloves
- Salad Potatoes - 5 pieces
- Rice - 7.1 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Place the chicken (I used a soup set) in a pot and cover with water, add the bay leaves.
Step 2
While the broth is cooking, chop the onion and carrot (I grated the carrot, but you can do it however you like), send everything to a heated skillet, when it is sautéed, add finely chopped pickles, mix and add a little broth (I add 2 ladles) and simmer for about 15-20 minutes.
Step 3
Once the broth boils, add finely chopped potatoes, you can also add the rice right away, and season with salt.
Step 4
Add our sautéed pickles to the broth and mix, wait until the rice and potatoes are cooked.
Step 5
After the potatoes and rice are cooked, add dill and garlic, cover with a lid, turn off the heat, and let it sit for about 10 minutes.
