Ingredients
- Salt - 5 oz
- Watermelon - 30 oz
- Celery stalk - 5 pieces
- Garlic - 8 cloves
- Dill - 1 bunch
- Vinegar essence - 0 fl oz
- Sugar - 0 oz
- Allspice berries - 1 tablespoon
- Clove - 2 pieces
- Green peppercorns - 1 tablespoon
- Bay leaf - 1 piece
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Prepare the necessary ingredients.
Step 2
Chop the celery.
Step 3
In a large pot, combine the chopped celery, salt, and sugar.
Step 4
Add cayenne pepper, vinegar, dill stems, and pickling spices to the pot.
Step 5
Crush the garlic using a garlic press.
Step 6
Add 8 cups of water to the prepared marinade mixture.
Step 7
Cut the watermelon, including the rind, into small triangular slices.
Step 8
Submerge the watermelon in the marinade.
Step 9
Cover with plastic wrap.
Step 10
Place in the refrigerator for one to two weeks.
