Ingredients
- Pita - 4 pieces
- Smoked Chicken - 21.2 oz
- Sweet Pepper - 2 pieces
- Vegetable Oil - 3 tablespoons
- Salt - to taste
- Apple - 2 pieces
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
- Garlic - 2 cloves
- Tarragon - 2 tablespoons
- Dry White Wine - 6 tablespoons
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Roast the pepper in the microwave under the grill at full power for 3–4 minutes. Remove the skin from the pepper, deseed it, and mash the flesh with a fork.
Step 2
Peel the apple, cut it into wedges, and simmer with the wine over low heat for 5–7 minutes. Mix the apples with the pepper, minced garlic, salt, vegetable oil, and puree in a blender. Heat the puree over low heat for 2–3 minutes and add tarragon.
Step 3
Fill the pita with the puree and pieces of smoked chicken.
Step 4
Lightly brush the pitas with water and bake in the microwave for 3 minutes at full power.
