Ingredients
- Popcorn - ½ glasses
- Vegetable Oil - 1 fl oz
- Butter - 2.1 oz
- Lime - 1 piece
- Mild Chili Spice - to taste
- Chili Flakes - ½ spoons
- Salt - ½ spoons
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Prepare all the ingredients.
Step 2
In a large pot, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
Step 3
Pour the popcorn kernels into the pot.
Step 4
Cover the pot with a lid; after a minute, the kernels will start to pop open with characteristic popping sounds.
Step 5
Keep the popcorn on the heat for 2–4 minutes, until the kernels stop popping. Occasionally shake the pot with the lid on to prevent the kernels from burning.
Step 6
When the popcorn is ready, remove the pot from the heat.
Step 7
In a small saucepan, melt the butter with salt until the salt is dissolved. Add the lime zest and chili.
Step 8
Pour the melted butter into the pot with the popcorn, making sure to coat as many kernels as possible.
Step 9
Cover the popcorn again with the lid and shake it well.
Step 10
Transfer the finished popcorn to a suitable bowl and enjoy it while hot.
