Ingredients
- Milk - ⅓ cup
- Pork Mince - 14.1 oz
- Breadcrumbs - ¼ cup
- Bacon - 3.5 oz
- Onion - 1½ heads
- Garlic - 3 cloves
- Habanero Pepper - 1 tablespoon
- Oregano - ¾ teaspoon
- Ground Cumin - 1 teaspoon
- Chopped Sage Leaves - ¼ cup
- Egg white - 1 piece
- Lime - 2 pieces
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
Step by Step guide
Step 1
In a large bowl, mix the milk and breadcrumbs.
Step 2
Fry 6 slices of bacon until crispy and place them on a paper towel.
Step 3
Drain most of the fat from the skillet and sauté the finely chopped onion, garlic, chipotle pepper, oregano, and cumin for about 3 minutes. Pour in 2 tablespoons of water and continue stirring until it evaporates.
Step 4
Add the sautéed spices with onion and garlic to the milk mixture, along with the ground pork, lightly beaten egg, chopped parsley, bacon, and salt. Mix everything thoroughly with your hands.
Step 5
Shape the prepared mixture into balls. Thread three pieces onto wooden skewers and grill for 8-10 minutes.
Step 6
Serve as a hot appetizer with lime wedges.
