Potato Dumplings with Mushrooms
Ingredients
- Salad Potatoes - 17.6 oz
- Pickled Chanterelles - 200 pieces
- Onion - 1 head
- Chocolate eggs - 2 pieces
- Wheat Flour - 3.5 oz
- Sour Cream - 7.1 oz
- Bay leaf - 0.2 oz
- Salt - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Boil the potatoes in their skins, cool them down. Grate them.
Step 2
Clean the mushrooms and chop them finely.
Step 3
Dice the onion into small cubes.
Step 4
Sauté the mushrooms with the onion in heated vegetable oil.
Step 5
Add to the potatoes. Then add the eggs, salt, pepper, and flour. Mix — it should form a thick and sticky dough.
Step 6
Bring water to a boil in a pot, add salt and bay leaf.
Step 7
With wet hands, form large balls and gently drop them into the boiling water.
Step 8
To prevent the dumplings from sticking to the bottom of the pot, gently stir them with a spoon. After they float, cook for another 3–4 minutes.
Step 9
Place the cooked dumplings on plates and serve with sour cream.
