Description

Instead of pearl barley, you can use other grains such as rice, millet, or semolina. These grains do not need to be soaked and should be added to the broth rinsed, except for semolina, which should only be sifted.

- Meat - 17.6 oz
- Pearl barley - ½ cup
- Salad Potatoes - 17.6 oz
- Root Vegetables - 3.5 oz
- Onion - 3.5 oz
- Salt - to taste
- Vegetable Oil - 2 tablespoons
- Bay leaf - to taste
- Dill - to taste
- Parsley - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Start by boiling the meat broth. At the same time, rinse the pearl barley well and soak it in a separate container with 1.5 cups of cold water for 2 hours.
Step 2
Drain the water, add the barley to the broth, bring the broth to a boil, and after 10-15 minutes, add the diced potatoes, sautéed root vegetables, salt, pepper, bay leaf, and cook until ready.
Step 3
Before serving, sprinkle the soup with dill or parsley.
