- Salad Potatoes - 2 lbs
- Onion - 2 heads
- Herring - 1 piece
- White Pepper (whole) - to taste
- Chicken Egg - 1 piece
- Sour Cream - 5 tablespoons
- Vegetable Oil - 3 tablespoons
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Wash the potatoes well, pour boiling water over them, add salt, and cook until half-done. Then peel the potatoes and cut a small slice off one side.
Step 2
Grind the flesh removed from the center with the peeled herring, add finely chopped onions, black pepper, powdered bay leaf, raw egg, and sour cream; mix everything thoroughly.
Step 3
Stuff the potatoes with the prepared filling, fry in oil, pour sour cream over them, and bake in a hot oven.
