Ingredients
- Leek - 3 pieces
- Puff Pastry - 1 piece
- Chicken Egg - 1 piece
- Salt - a pinch
- Robiola cheese - 5.3 oz
- Olive Oil - 1 tablespoon
Step by Step guide
Step 1
In a preheated skillet with olive oil, sauté the sliced leeks for 15 minutes under a lid. Add salt. At the end of cooking, remove the lid to evaporate excess liquid.
Step 2
Dust the work surface with flour. Roll out the pastry into a rectangle as thin as possible. Mash the robiola cheese with a fork until smooth. Spread the cheese layer on the pastry, leaving a 1 cm border along the long side. Top with the sautéed leeks.
Step 3
Beat the egg with salt and brush the free edge with it. Roll the pastry into a log and cut into 1 cm thick discs.
Step 4
Place the rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and brush the tops with the beaten egg. Bake in a preheated oven at 356°F for 20 minutes. Turn off the oven and crack the door open, leaving the rolls inside for another 10 minutes.
