Description
Pumpkin Chudu
Ingredients
- Wheat Flour - 10.6 oz
- Pumpkin - ½ pieces
- Onion - 3 heads
- Walnuts - 20 pieces
- Butter - 3.5 oz
- Salt - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Chop the nuts, pour boiling water over them, and let them sit for an hour to absorb the water and swell.
Step 2
Knead the dough using flour, 150 ml of water, and a teaspoon of salt.
Step 3
Peel half of the pumpkin, cut it into pieces, and grate it coarsely.
Step 4
Sauté the chopped onion in butter until golden brown. Combine with the nuts and pumpkin, then season with salt and pepper.
Step 5
Divide the dough into balls the size of your fist, roll them out, place the filling on one half of each circle, and seal the edges. Then roll out the filled dough as thinly as possible, making sure the dough doesn't tear.
Step 6
Heat a skillet, melt butter in it, and fry the flatbreads on both sides—over low heat and with the lid on. Brush the finished flatbreads with butter.
