- Chopped almonds - 2.3 oz
- Salt - a pinch
- Vanillin - a pinch
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Rinse the raw almonds and soak them in clean room temperature water for a couple of hours.
Step 2
Drain the soaked almonds, place them in a blender, add salt, vanillin, and 1.5 cups of clean water. Blend on high speed until the consistency of a milkshake.
Step 3
Place a sieve lined with cheesecloth over a bowl or pot. Pour the almond mixture onto the cheesecloth and let the liquid drain. Squeeze the pulp in the cheesecloth thoroughly. Dilute the resulting almond cream with water to achieve the desired milk consistency. You can add more salt to taste. Pour the milk into a bottle.
