Ingredients
- Brown Sugar - 1 tablespoon
- Granulated sugar - 7.1 oz
- Lemon - 4 pieces
- Lime - 3 pieces
- Mint - 1 bunch
- Ginger - 1.8 oz
- Citrus Zest Mix - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
In a saucepan, add the white sugar, pour in 1 cup of water, bring to a boil, and simmer until the sugar is completely dissolved. Add the grated ginger root to the sugar syrup and immediately cool it by placing it in a bowl of crushed ice.
Step 2
Pour the juice of three limes and three lemons into the saucepan, add the zest, and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
Step 3
Cut the remaining whole lemon in half lengthwise and slice it into thin wedges, mix with the mint leaves, place in a pitcher with a wide mouth, sprinkle with brown sugar, and muddle with a pestle. Pour the cold lemonade into the pitcher, dilute with water and ice to taste, from 2 to 4 cups. You can use sparkling water instead of regular water.
