Ingredients
- Rhubarb - 70.5 oz
- Water - 34 fl oz
- Sugar - 4 cups
- Activated Baking Soda - 1 teaspoon
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Wash and slice the rhubarb into circles, place them in a large pot. Pour in water and bring to a boil. Let it simmer covered for about 30 minutes or until the rhubarb becomes soft.
Step 2
Strain the mixture through a towel and let it drain for 30 minutes. Do not squeeze the rhubarb too much, otherwise the juice will be cloudy.
Step 3
Measure the amount of juice and then pour it into a clean pot, add sugar and bring to a boil.
Step 4
Pour about 100 ml of juice, dissolve the baking soda in it, and add the mixture back to the juice.
Step 5
Pour the juice into well-washed sterilized bottles. Store in a dark cool place.
