For this recipe, you need to find small shallots of the same size.

Ingredients

  • Shallot - 24 pieces
  • Olive Oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Brussels Sprouts - 2 lbs
  • Coarse Salt - 1 teaspoon

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 374°F.

Step 2

Peel the shallots and place them on a sheet of foil. Drizzle with a tablespoon of olive oil and toss. Wrap and place in the oven for 45 minutes until soft. Open the foil and let cool.

Step 3

Meanwhile, trim the old leaves from the Brussels sprouts and cut the heads in half or into quarters depending on their size.

Step 4

Place the Brussels sprouts and shallots in a baking dish and toss with the remaining olive oil. Season with salt.

Step 5

Increase the oven temperature to 392°F and roast the vegetables for 25–35 minutes, until the Brussels sprouts are tender and the vegetables are browned, stirring occasionally.
