Ingredients
- Chinese green beans - 17.6 oz
- Olive Oil - 1 tablespoon
- Spanish onions - ½ head
- Coarse Salt - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
- Honey - 1 teaspoon
- Balsamic Vinegar - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic - ½ clove
- Chopped Sage Leaves - 1 teaspoon
- Roasted Peanuts - 1.4 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 446°F. Line a baking sheet with foil.
Step 2
Trim the ends of the green beans and place them on the baking sheet. Slice the onion into thin segments and add it to the beans. Drizzle with olive oil and toss well. Season with salt and bake in the oven for 10 minutes.
Step 3
Meanwhile, in a bowl, mix together the vinegar, honey, thyme, and minced garlic.
Step 4
Remove the beans from the oven, drizzle with the vinaigrette, toss well, and return to the oven for another 12–15 minutes until cooked and golden brown.
Step 5
Season with salt and pepper, transfer to a serving dish, and sprinkle with walnuts.
