Ingredients

  • Carrot - 1 bunch
  • Salt - to taste
  • Vegetable Oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Ground Black Pepper - to taste
  • Butter - 1 tablespoon
  • Brown Sugar - ½ tablespoon
  • Oranges - ½ piece
  • Orange zest - 1 teaspoon
  • Ground Cumin - 1 teaspoon

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Lightly peel the carrots, but do not cut off the tails. Transfer to a bowl and mix with vegetable oil.

Step 2

Preheat the oven to 356°F (350 degrees Fahrenheit).

Step 3

Place the carrots on a baking sheet, season with salt and pepper. Bake in the oven for 30-45 minutes until tender.

Step 4

Melt the butter in a saucepan and cook until the butter turns light brown.

Step 5

Add the juice from 0.5 orange, the zest, and cumin, and cook for about 2 minutes until the sauce thickens.

Step 6

Arrange the carrots on a plate and drizzle with the sauce.
