Ingredients
- Bread Kvass - 1½ liters
- Sauerkraut - 10.6 oz
- Rye Bread - 3.5 oz
- Onion - 2 heads
- Vegetable Oil - 1 tablespoon
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
- Salt - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Slightly squeeze the sauerkraut to remove excess brine and chop it into small pieces.
Step 2
Peel and wash the onions, then grate them along with the stale bread on a coarse grater.
Step 3
Mix everything thoroughly and add the vegetable oil.
Step 4
Dilute with kvass, season with salt and pepper to taste, and serve.
