Ingredients
- Puff Pastry - 17.6 oz
- 20% Sour Cream - 2 spoons
- Feta cheese - 7.1 oz
- Chicken Egg - 2 pieces
- Garlic - 2 cloves
- Cream - 1 tablespoon
- Butter - 2 spoons
- Ground Black Pepper - 1 tablespoon
- Dill - 1 bunch
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Finely chop the dill and press the garlic through a garlic press.
Step 2
Mash the feta cheese with a fork.
Step 3
Add garlic and dill to the feta cheese, and season with pepper.
Step 4
Beat the egg and add it to the filling. Also, add sour cream and mix well.
Step 5
Thaw the dough and roll out each piece (I have 2) to a thickness of about 3 mm.
Step 6
Spread the filling evenly over the dough.
Step 7
Roll the layers of dough with the filling into a log (this yields 2 logs).
Step 8
Slice the rolls crosswise into 8 pieces each.
Step 9
Grease a round baking pan (20–23 cm) with butter. Arrange the pieces like stumps (8 pieces each), not too tightly.
Step 10
Beat the egg yolk with the butter and cream using a fork. Brush the surface of the pie with this mixture.
Step 11
Bake at 338°F for 35 minutes.
