Seafood Soup with Crawfish Tails

Ingredients

  • Vegetable Oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic - 4 cloves
  • Onion - 1 head
  • Orange Bell Peppers - 1 piece
  • Fish Oil - 16 fl oz
  • Coconut Milk - 32 fl oz
  • Chopped Sage Leaves - 1½ tablespoons
  • Chopped Sage Leaves - 1 tablespoon
  • Chopped Sage Leaves - 0.2 oz
  • Sugar - 1 teaspoon
  • Crawfish Tails in Tomato Sauce - 17.6 oz
  • Ground Cumin - 1½ teaspoons
  • Squid - 7.1 oz
  • Pasta shells - 10.6 oz
  • Shrimp - 7.1 oz
  • Salt - to taste
  • Ground Black Pepper - to taste
  • Lime - 1 piece

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Sauté the chopped onion, garlic, and bell pepper over medium heat until soft.

Step 2

Add coconut milk, broth, finely chopped basil, oregano, sage, cumin, and sugar, and bring to a boil.

Step 3

Reduce heat, add the peeled and diced crawfish tails (reserve some for garnish), sliced squid, and cook covered until tender, about 5–7 minutes.

Step 4

Add the shrimp tails and rinsed mussel shells. Cover and cook until the mussel shells open, about 7 minutes. Season with salt and pepper, serve with lime wedges, garnished with boiled crawfish tails.
