Shrimp and Plum Skewers

Ingredients

  • Chopped Green Onions - 2 tablespoons
  • Vegetable Oil - 3 tablespoons
  • Grated Lemon Zest - 1 teaspoon
  • Lime Juice - 3 tablespoons
  • Salt - ½ teaspoon
  • Habanero Pepper - 3 pieces
  • Shrimp - 12 pieces
  • Plums - 2 pieces

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Peel the raw shrimp. Remove the seeds from the jalapeño peppers and cut them into 4 lengthwise. Remove the pits from the plums and cut each into 6 pieces.

Step 2

In a bowl, mix the vegetable oil, cilantro, lime zest, lime juice, and salt, reserving 3 tablespoons in a small bowl. Add the shrimp and pieces of jalapeño and plum to the main marinade. Stir well.

Step 3

Preheat the grill well.

Step 4

Thread the shrimp, pieces of plum, and jalapeño onto skewers and grill, turning, for about 8 minutes until the shrimp are cooked. Drizzle with the reserved marinade and serve.
